STEP 2 — THE CARVE

GBP 50.00

£50 · Step two of three

You've taken the impressions. This is the step where wax becomes metal.

Choose your piece

  • Pendant — the one most people choose. Sits flat against the chest, the most surface to run a thumb across.

  • Bracelet — closer to hand, and seen more often through the day. Good if you'd rather wear them somewhere you'll catch sight of them.

  • Earrings — a pair, both taken from the same impression. Smaller, quieter, easy to wear every day.

‍ ‍

Gold, chain length and other variations are quoted separately — email houseofhulkes@gmail.com.

‍ ‍

Then post your kit back

‍ ‍

When you've paid, you'll get an order number. Write it on your information sheet before you seal the parcel — that number is how your wax gets matched to your order, and it's the one thing worth double-checking.

‍ ‍

Fill in the rest of the sheet, post the kit back to the studio, and I'll confirm by email the moment it arrives so you know it got here safely.

‍ ‍

What happens at the bench

‍ ‍

I carve the piece by hand, then cast it in metal here in the studio.

‍ ‍

The wax transfers directly. I don't smooth the print or tidy it up — the only change I make is cutting it to the shape of the piece, because the print is the point. Every ridge stays where they left it.

‍ ‍

If you'd like it worked into a particular shape, say so in your order notes and I'll do what I can.

‍ ‍ ‍

If the impressions didn't come out, Tell me before you post. I'll send more wax. There's no rush on any of this and it's always better to try again than to settle for a print you're not happy with.
